I am a newbie. I just started using WP on my web. This might be silly or may already exist.
    Anybody please help me out?

    1. How can a user automatically put a blog entry with figures?
    2. How can I have sort of permanent ‘sticky’ post – sort of introduction on all pages?

    Thanks,
    drb

what do you mean by automatically post? do you mean that at a certain time and day? cause i think that you can do that when you are writing it with the time stamp thing. i think it’ll do that if you set it to a day and time you want it to show up in the future. (never tried it)

as for the other, not sure… maybe editing the main page code inserting what you want to say above where the content goes?? (again, never tried it)

i never tried these things before, but maybe its a start or jumping off point for others to help.

Try the Adhesive plugin for your second part.

As to the first, just “future date” the post when you’re writing it. Be sure to actually check the box “Edit Timestamp” — trust me, just changing the date or time isn’t enough. ?? If you do that, the post won’t be visible until that post time.

This is a good tool for autoposting – allows you to write as many articles/posts as you want before hand and will post at your specified timings.

I am extremely sorry for not being clear on the first issue.
This is what I wish-Users should be able to post articles (not comments to existing articles) on their own. Also they should be able to attach images, files etc.

I used wrong word ‘automatically’. I meant for them to post articles on their own whenever they can and that should be different from comments.

Am i clear. hope so. ??

    please help.

    thanks.

I’m not completely following. Are the users registered with your blog? If so, I’d presume that you’d just give them the appropriate user level within WP and you’d have what you need.

    Which part isn’t working?
