How to automatically change the category assigned to a post?

  • Hi guys,

    Is it possible for wordpress to automatically change the category assigned to a post after a certain amount of time?
    For example, i have posts that are often assigned to multiple categories such as ‘movies’, “upcoming movies”.
    I’m also using acf to assign release date of the movie(& its field variable is release_date_movie). I’m also having a “new releases” category.
    However, on the release date i would like any posts assigned to the category of ‘upcoming movies’ to be stripped of this and gets added to my “new releases” category.
