How To Automate..?

  • Hi Mark,

    I just stumbled upon your plugin & gave it a test run, in which it did do as directed in your instructions. However this means manually adding a link each time you want to do this.

    I already have a custom field setup for another plugin that changes the links in the RSS feed to an external link on certain posts, so I was wondering would it be possible to get your plugin to check this custom field and use whatever link is there, instead of having to manually enter the external link..?

    Obviously if there is no link then it is just a standard post and should link normally.

    You could use a similar technique to this plugin and hook into the permalink creation hooks and have it check your custom meta key.
