I want to filter my Custom Post Types using Filter Everything plugin. I have turned on the Archive page for my pod and I’m able to set some filters that actually works. The problem I have is that I don’t know how to force this Archive page to use Pods Template that I’ve created.

Could you please explain me how to do that?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I was able to resolve this problem by myself. Here’s additional context for anyone who has similar problem.

    1. I have enabled Auto Templates in Pod Settings and it was working for Gutenberg’s Query Loop Block with Pods Single Item placed inside. But it wasn’t exactly what I wanted to achieve.

    2. I enabled Archive Page in Pod Settings but I couldn’t force this page to use the Pods Templates.

This is how it looked like:

As you can see all the custom field are visible, so it kinda works, but the list item wasn’t supporting Pod Template’s HTML & CSS.

    3. I went to Pod Settings again and I figured out that if I change the List Template Filter option to Filter: the_excerpt it displays my Pod Template in place of Excerpt. All left to do was to disable Post Tile and Post Featured Image in my theme options (since I have them in my Pod Template already).

    And here’s the final effect:

Pods is an amazing plugin but the documentation sucks terribly. If I hadn’t read the forum threads, I would never have found out that I needed to enable Auto Templates. I hope it will be updated in the future.

Thank for the note on the docs, I know we’ve got more areas to clean up and address in the docs. We’ve made huge jumps but just not in areas like Auto Templates yet.

Once Pods 3.0 is released, we are devoting a feature release cycle (not moving straight into Pods 3.1 development) towards Documentation, Tutorials, and Video Content. We’re currently fundraising towards our goal to cover our efforts there via https://friends.pods.io/donations/become-a-friend/

I’m going to consider your feedback here a vote for Auto Templates to be included in the priority doc pages we will work on.
