Shouldn’t this actually work out of the box using author profile’s Twitter username?

    Hi, FrankB80.

If you add your Twitter ID in the Genesis → Simple Share settings (like this: https://d.pr/i/1ejOR ), you should find that you see some “via @yourname” text at the end of the tweet when you share a post.

If that’s not the case for you, feel free to share a screenshot of your settings (via https://imgur.com/ ), and a link to a post where your “via” text isn’t appearing. I’m happy to take a closer look for you.

Hi Nick, how was I not able to see this? ??

    Sorry…

If your active theme is a Genesis child theme, you’ll see the Simple Share options page at Genesis → Simple Share in your WordPress admin area as long as Simple Share is active: https://d.pr/i/1fhQQ

The box to add your Twitter ID is near the bottom of that page.

If you don’t see a “Genesis” item in your menu, you’d need to install and activate any Genesis child theme first: https://d.pr/1lQOI

Yes, after your description I found it right away, thanks!

You’re welcome! Glad you’re now up and running with it. ??
