how to amend "Call to action" area

    I have the following text towards the bottom of my home page
    “THIS IS A CALL TO ACTION AREA
    This is just an example text widget. You can add text widgets here to put whatever you’d like.”
    but when i clic on the home page to edit the text it doesn’t show anywhere.
    How do I amend this??
