• I recently installed WordPress on a VPS, and I, being the n00b “sysadmin” I am, decided to make it much more complicated for myself and installed Nginx instead of Apache. I am very happy to have chosen this, as I’ve learned a lot in the process. Anyways, fast forward to me configuring W3 Total Cache. I save and it gives me this message

FTP credentials don’t allow to write to file /path/to/nginx.conf

Note: I do not have FTP installed, as people tell me it is not very secure. I can nano into nginx.conf and change it, but I’m lazy and that’d be a bother. Is there any way to give W3 Total Cache the permission to do this, along with any other plugin that needs to?

P.S. I changed the path/to/nginx.conf because I felt it would be more secure that way.
