how to allow user registration on wp multisite?

  • hi wp community. i wants to allow user registration on my wp multisite. but i can’t find the option on general settings menu of either my sites.
    i have 2 sites on subdirectory. both are different niche. so i want to keep separate from each other. or keep them as global user(can write post/comments on both site).

    I believe you have to enable this at the network level: NETWORK ADMIN => SETTINGS => REGISTRATION SETTINGS

    I haven’t used it for a long time but there was a WPMUDEV plugin that did usersync/multisite login. You might check out their site, they have changed a lot in the last 2 years but you might find something.

    That’s one of some 140+ “legacy” (ie pre-Multisite or WPMU-era) plugins abandoned years ago. They’re all available for download from Github, but they’re officially retired and not supported any longer, and may not work with the current or future versions of WordPress.

    When running multisite remember that there is a network. and other sites are dependent on the setting based on the network settings. in other words you need to activate the allow registration on the network settings. Network>dashboard>Network-setiings then choose allow registration.
