    Hi,

I’m wondering if it’s possible to allow overbooking? So that when the total number of reservations is reached, then further bookings will be placed on a pending list?

Is it possible to show the current pending number for the user, so the user can be informed if he/she is number 1, 2, 3… on the list?

I hope you are able to answer my question.

Great plugin by the way – thanks ??

    Best regards
    Frederik

  • Hi,

There is an option under Events > Settings > Bookings > General Options to allow for overbookings. This will allow you to override the maximum number of space available for manual approvals.

The waiting list feature is something you might be able to achieve with some custom coding. One way of doing it that springs to mind would be to create a custom placeholder to display the info:

Thank you for your fast reply!

I have now checked the overbooking option, but when I go to the event page, I can’t sign up – it’s fully booked. How can I solve this?

I’ll take a look into the custom placeholder.

we don’t have a waiting list feature (yet). the overbooking option is there to cope with pending bookings:

If you get a lot of pending bookings and you decide to allow more bookings than spaces allow, setting this to yes will allow you to override the event space limit when manually approving.

    Okay.

Are you planning on implementing the waiting list feature? Or is it possible to request such feature?

we are planning on integrating this, no ETA though.

That sounds good. I’m looking forward to see this feature in future version of the plugin.

    Thank you.
