    Hi @lillianfidler

Have you tried creating a Profile Form? Did UM generate a Profile form added to the User page?

You can add uploader fields via UM form builder.
Please go to WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Forms > Edit a Profile Form > click on “+” and see “Image Upload” and “File Upload”.

Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it and will try that. btw are there any good videos that might help in understanding all of this. I did read through the documentation, but am still finding it a bit difficult in putting all of the pieces together. Basically, I want three different types of memberships with each having different permissions. for example one membership will allow the user to upload files. All members profiles will be viewable to the public.

    Thanks for your assistance,

    Lillian

I see that now, thank you. I do have one other question (or two).

When a person chooses the type of membership they want and there is a fee associated with it, I assume that’s where the plugin UM woocommerce comes in. So I would set up a product for the membership type and a person would be directed to that page to pay for the membership. Once they have their account set up, I guess they login and they should be directed to a page where they can upload photos, add their information etc. So I’m guessing that would be the profile page that you mentioned above. Does this process sound correct? I appreciate your patience with me, I will get this!

    Hi @lillianfidler

Ultimate Member Woo extension changes a user’s role when they purchase a product. So you will need two create two roles: a free-tier user and a premium tier user. By default, the free-tier user has no access to the upload fields( you can set this in the field settings > privacy ). And then when this free-tier user buys a product, it should change the role to premium when the purchase is successful.

For premium extensions questions and pre-sale questions, please contact us via our website as we cannot provide this in the free support forum:
