How to add WWW to one of the domain of my multisite

  • Hi !
    I made a wordpress website https://www.example.com and I have multiple domain under one wordpress installation. I also have WPML installed and running.
    I have https://www.example.com (global language)
    https://www.example.co.uk (english)
    example.fr (french)

    My problem is : when we search for example.fr, the global page appears but it should be the french page, and we’re not automatically redirected to https://www.example.fr just as the other domains are. On the other domains WWW. appears automatically but not on group-edt.fr

    I tried url rewriting, didn’t go well, I probably didn’t follow the steps right (but i suppose there’s a way of sorting this without modifying .htaccess)… So I also tried adding “www” in the wordpress dashboard (general settings > wordpress adress (url) site Adress (url) ) but I can only change https://www.example.com even when I switch the language thanks to the wpml plugin.

    Do you mean searching on a site like dogpile or google?
