How to add votes and ratings to my posts?

    How can I add the ability to add votes and ratings on my posts?

    I agree with stylishjm; the GD Star Rating plugin is a good one. You will have to do a lot of experimenting with that plugin, as the configuration can be extremely overwhelming at times.

    Hi,

    Indeed, the settings are enormeous!

    I’ve just installed it, and as a test, I’m trying to rate my own articles.
    The only thing that happens is, when I click “thumbs up” I see a rotating image, but not the actual rating (also not when I vote for an article…).
    Any help there?

    Are you using a theme that has jQuery-reliant features such as sliding banners, menus etc? It usually will interfere with the GD Star plugin.

    I use a Joomla component that integrates WP into Joomla.

    Ahh yes I do see some mootools and other js stuff which may interfere. Im not very good when it comes to jQuery so you will need to hope that some one with that knowledge sees this thread.
