I’m creating a new site and as part of the testing and tweaking I need to create loads (well, about 50) of fictitious subscribers, that is, have them register as subscribers and then I’ll use the different names on a Q&A and forum that I’ll test on the site before going public. And I’ll get rid of them, too.

The problem is, I see that for any registration for a subscriber I need an email address. Well, of course I don’t have 50 email addresses/accounts and although my host allows me to create up to a hundred, that would be an awful lot of work, first creating 50 accounts and then doing 50 registrations.

So I’m wondering whether there’s anyway to create these “subscribers” without the need for an email address.

I actually did find a plugin for that, I believe at WPMU DEV (not positive) but wherever it was, it was only for a multisite setup, which mine isn’t.

So if anyone could tell me how this could be done, I’d greatly appreciate it.

    TIA, Martin
