How to add user registration /login to my site

  • Hi all,
    I’m relatively new to word press.I have created a website and i want to let users to register on my site with user name and password and allowed to to log in to the site for access full privileges of the site.I can create this in pure php format but i don’t understand how WP work.

    please advise on me.. or please reefer me to good tutorials.

  • Firstly, Go to Settings -> General and make sure the setting for Anyone can Register is enables,
    Then use a plugin Theme My login to skin up your login screen.. And then things will work quite smoothly for you..

    I want to know another this ….. how can we connect external data base to to wordpress page. i just want to show some results in my external data base in a my wordpress page.

    How can i get the information of those who have registered in to my site? And actually mine is a photography website where i want my users to post their photos, reviews,etc exactly like how it happens in facebook. How can i do this? please help me out in this.. and i also want to secure from letting no one to comment on my posts in my site until and unless he is registered.

    Will other users get access to dashboard after registration?
