How to add Tracking Codes

I am trying to add google analytics to my website and here are the instructions on how to add it:

Once you find the code snippet, copy and paste it into the bottom of your content, immediately before the </body> tag of each page you are planning to track. If you use a common include or template, you can enter it there.

I don’t know where to find the </body> tag. I tried opening each page and editing in HTML, but I am not finding this tag. Where do I put this tracking code on each one of my pages?
