How to add thumbnail to blog excerpt on home, category & archive pages?

That should do it.

I want to show post image in the excerpt on home page latest posts as by default it only shows post link and description in the excerpt.

Adding the featured image will add the image to that title/excerpt area as well. Have you tried adding one yet?
