I tried to disable all plugins and set Twenty Fifteen as default theme. Same problem with cURL.

I attempted to troubleshoot as per https://www.nextscripts.com/tutorials/how-to-check-if-curlssl-is-working-properly/ – the test indicates SSL certificate problem.

I guess, I will have to talk to my Internet service provider.

    I didn’t see anything that’d require ssl …

    Hi Franky:

    1. Most likely not related, but the ics file generated from your web site doesn’t pass the validation on https://icalvalid.cloudapp.net/ – it shows:
The time zone with the TZID 'Europe/Brussels' was not found

    And also:
The VERSION property should be the first property on the calendar. Some calendar clients cannot properly parse the calendar otherwise.

    2. How can I remove the utf-8 charset, which file should I edit? I would like to completely rule that out.

I added in dev that VERSION will come first, the timezone is not an issue (most real ical servers know those zones).
For VERSION: see the functions eme_ical_single and eme_ical in eme_ical.php
For utf-8: search for the line
    header(“Content-type: text/calendar; charset=utf-8”)
in eme_actions.php and remove the “charset=utf-8” part (or put it in caps, or whatever …)
