how to add text box attribute on product page

  • Hi, I’ve installed the woocommerce version 2.5.5.
    I also have created woo attributes of type text.

    Now when I add the text attribute to woocommerce product, its not saving that attribute with empty textbox.

    Now if I add some value in the textbox and save then its saves but its display as the SELECT option on the product page not as a textbox.

    Is this the issue with woocommerce? since the woo documentation says that TEXT type attribute should show TEXTBOX on the product page.

    Please help me ASAP. its very urgent.

    It does not say this. Attributes for variations are always select boxes. If you’re after custom input you need an extension like product addons.

    So how can I add the textbox as product attribute. I need to show the textbox on product page.

    Maybe you can elaborate what you mean by ‘show the textbox’.

    “Text allows manual entry whereas select allows pre-configured terms in a drop-down list.”

    Both looks drop-down lists to me…
