I feel like the solution to this is just something dumb I’m overlooking, but can anyone let me know how to add the table to my post?

I activated the plugin, and I can see “WP Pros & Cons” in my dashboard’s sidebar. When I edit a post, I have looked through all the block options, and I don’t see anything new there. I was reading the forums and I found that I need to add a shortcode for my pros and cons table, but where do I get that shortcode from? I haven’t been able to find anything.

Any help getting this plugin setup is greatly appreciated!

I will say, I figured out I can add a shortcode block in the classic editor and add “[joomdev-wpc-pros-cons]” to that. This creates a pro/con table with title and buttons.

Is there a different shortcode for other styles of tables (I am looking for no buttons)? Also, how do I actually a pro/con item?

    Hi @burgoyne

I totally understand, it gets confusing at times because of the Gutenberg editor.

If you’re using the Gutenberg Editor, you can use our Pros and Cons for Gutenberg. It’s a block based plugin.

Actually, this plugin was made for the classic editor which you can still use in the Gutenberg Editor by following the below steps:

    1. Choose the Classic Editor block
    2. Find the Pros and Cons Icon (Green thumbs-up icon) in the navigation
    3. After clicking and opening the modal of Pros and Cons in the classic editor.
    4. Find the button Add Pros and Add Cons, and fill up the fields with your content.
    5. And click insert, it’ll do the trick.

Let me know, how it goes.

    Thanks, @mightythemes1 for the reply.

I am not using the Gutenberg editor, I am just using the classic WordPress Editor for posts.

In the classic editor, my issue is that I do not have the option to select that Pros & Cons icon. I ended up using a different Pros and Cons plugin, and it is working as it should. I would prefer to use your plugin though as it looks nicer. Unfortunately after installing and activating the plugin, I do not have the option to use it in the classic editor.

If you’re using the classic editor, you’ll find the icon in the top bar (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1neC0gEse8bbEyHglj6rxwQWU4OY4zxQv/view).

Click on it and it’ll open the shortcode generator (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TSbFz2xkK3zQ3qfo9oN-qzA7-Iir3Ikv/view).

You can add pros & cons in the generator and click “Insert Shortcode”, it’ll start working.

If the icon is not visible, then there must be some conflict with another plugin. Can you try re-installing the plugin?

Let me know, how it goes.

    Thanks.

    Hi @burgoyne ,

We’ve just updated the plugin with a fix for this issue.

It was happening due to the latest v5.6 WordPress update.

If you feel free, you can give it a try.

Let me know if you face any issues.

    Thanks.
