    Hi there,
does Yoast support the including of selected categories to the category_sitemap only ?

I already know the general switcher at the xml-sitemap section of the plugin, but if this button is disabled, I cannot add any categories to the sitemap manually anymore. But on the other hand it’s also not a practical solution for me, to enable this button in general, because I’m having over 100 categories and only two of them should appear at the sitemap, because they have some really unique and useful content. If the button is enabled in general, I would need to deactivate the other 98 categories manually, which seems very unpractical to me. ??
Is there any trick how to achieve, what I’m looking for? To add a category_sitemap.xml to the sitemap_index.xml, but only including the categories, that I’ve explicity selected for this case?

    Thanks a lot ??

When Yoast SEO v7.0 is released, you can set noindex to the categories globally as Yoast SEO v7.0 won’t include any URLs that is set to noindex. Once you set the noindex to the categories globally, you can then manually edit your two categories and set them as index to ensure only the two particular categories are included in the sitemap.

Alternatively, you’ll need to add all the categories ID to the XML Sitemap exclude field to exclude them from the sitemap.
