Hi, thank you for your amazing plug-in.
However, I am having trouble with Simple Slider module. I activated the module, but I could not find the slider block in block inserter or upon typing ‘/’. I simply cannot find the block anywhere. I checked the widgets area just in case, but it’s not there either.

I tested it on the latest WordPress version 5.6.2 on staging site and localhost instance on Local by Flywheel on Genesis Sample Theme and WordPress default Twenty-Twenty-One theme.

Am I missing something? Appreciate your help.

Hey there – the blocks should appear in the block importer when you search as any other block would.

The only thing I can think is that the slider module hasn’t been enabled in the Toolbelt settings.

If it’s been enabled then can you open up your browser console and see if there’s any JavaScript errors?

    Thanks – Ben

I’m sorry, but I did enable the slider module like the other modules. The testimonial module works perfectly fine, as it immediately created a new admin menu, and testimonials show on the frontend no problem. Post category block works well too.

But the slider block does not appear at all on the block inserter/importer. And I do not understand what you mean by javascript error on the browser console. Since I couldn’t even insert the slider block into the post, the html markup on the inspector would not show any [noscript] javascript error, would it? And indeed, the inspector on Gutenberg Editor does not show javascript-related issues or any mention of a slider. I’m running WordPress 5.6.2 on php version 7.3. I’ve turned on debug mode for my staging site to see if there’s any error messages, but nothing shows.

And one more thing: I tried sending myself multiple test messages through the experimental contact-form module with experimental spam filter module enabled. No emails arrived after waiting 3 days. There was no submission success message that pops up after pressing submit either.

Well that’s strange. And you’re right, if it doesn’t load then it won’t show up.

If you select the kebab menu in the editor (the 3 dots on the right next to the gear icon) then go down to the tools > block manager) option, does the slider block appear in there and is it enabled?

Do you have any other sliders installed? Maybe there’s a conflict somewhere.

Regarding the contact form, that might be a PHP mail thing but I don’t know much about that. I assume other WordPress emails work ok. Does anything get saved in your ‘feedback’ post type? They should show there in either the All or Spam sections.

Also – do you have any caching plugins installed? That could affect the submission process.

    Thanks – Ben

I’m having an identical issue, despite the module being enabled I can’t see the slider in the block inserter.

I’ve tried on a fresh install with WP 2021 theme and no other plugins installed!

Oh, I’ve check the block manager settings too btw

Well this is strange, thanks for letting me know.

Could you tell me what modules you have enabled? I need a bit more info so that I can try to replicate the issue.

Do you see any JavaScript errors in the console? There’s info on how to find them here:

    Thanks – Ben

Hi there – I’ve just noticed something on my local site.

A bunch of blocks had been hidden in the editor. I don’t know how or why this happened, but maybe something similar has happened to you?

Could you go to the three dot menu > block manager, and then make sure the blocks are visible? Hopefully that will fix it.
