  • To add a sidebar to a page:

    1. Click on “Pages” tab on the left dashboard column.
    2. Click on the page you want to add a sidebar to (example: about).
    3. Look for “Page Attributes” on the right.
(If page attributes is not there, click on “Screen Options” in the top right and make sure that the “Page Attributes” box is checked.)
    4. Select “Left Sidebar” under the “Template” header (“Default Template” is pre-selected for pages).

    Hey Ryan,

    Thanks for your reply.

I know about page attribute, but when I select left sidebar, its like broad margin, I will not be able to add any content to that sidebar.

One more thing after having left sidebar broad, how do we add content to it.

    Thanks,
    Rucha

To add content to the side bar:

    1. Go to “Appearance” in the left column on the dashboard.
    2. Click on “Widgets”.
    3. Notice the tab on the right called “Sidebar”.
    4. Drag and drop the selected widgets into the Sidebar tab.
(If you can’t find a specific widget that you want to add, go to “pluggins” and install the plugins that you need.)
    5. Adjust the settings for each individual widget.
Note: You must click “save” after you add each widget.

You can also edit the footer section in this area of your website. Hope that helps!
