    Hi,

Today I receive a warning from Google Search Console, indicating that some data are missing from Schema data of My Job Listing:

    Missing field “postalCode” (in “jobLocation.address”)

    Missing field “baseSalary”

    Missing field “streetAddress” (in “jobLocation.address”)

    Missing field “addressRegion” (in “jobLocation.address”)

    Missing field “addressCountry” (in “jobLocation.address”)

How to fix this? I check my listing but cannot find a way to input “baseSalary”, “postalCode”, etc.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @chcw

We have a support doc with some steps you can take to help fix issues with that structured data:

    https://wpjobmanager.com/document/fixing-structured-data-issues/

Basically though, the missing address errors usually indicate that the job posted only had a city, while Google is looking for an exact street address. If you are already entering that, you may need to enable Google Geocoding, which is required for those fields.

The baseSalary error usually means that the Salary field is not being used. This has been updated in WP Job Manager v1.35 or above, where you can enable the optional Salary field by going to Job Listings > Settings > Job Listings.

If you are on an earlier version of WP Job Manager, we have a tutorial you can use to add the Salary field to your job postings:

    https://wpjobmanager.com/document/tutorial-adding-a-salary-field-for-jobs/

The Salary field is optional though, it is just a warning from the Google Search console, not an error. Google just recommends that you have it, it is not required and won’t impact how your site appears in their results.
