How to add same doc in more than one group?

  • Hello all!
    I am using BuddyPress docs plugin for my intranet network, and I want to be able to share a document(same document) on more than one buddypress group, further more, I want to be able to select users inside a group(not all users of the group) that will be able to see(read, edit, view history …) for that doc.

    Is this possible?

    Hello – I’m afraid that, at this time, there’s no way to do this in the interface. The data structure for BuddyPress Docs was set up in such a way that a Doc might be associated with more than one group (see the bp_docs_associated_group taxonomy) but it’s never been exposed in the interface. In part, this is because of the various permissions issues that would come up with, say, a Doc shared between a private and a public group.
