• Hi There,

    The revision log is available in the backend, however, is it possible to activate to add the revision log to a frontend user via short codes? So if we do this we can update our users as well.

    Also, I tried to add author name via short code method but nothing is showing in the frontend page. Not sure I have missed something there

    Please help

    Thank you

    @dinushans,
    As it stands, the revision log is only available in the administrative screens.

    More than that it is only really available to users with read_document_revisions
    permission since the user cannot read the revision.

    The revision log is really to describe to editors the changes made and is not really intended for public consumption. It is unclear to me what information should be made available to end users here. There is the short description field now available in later versions of the software.

    As you say, The author name is not currently available via the documents shortcode (or corresponding Documents List block).

    This information is available in the Latest Documents block. This does not have a shorcode because it existed previously as a Widget where it is called Recently Revised Widget. To find this, look at Appearence -> Widgets, then press on the + symbol in the top right of the screen and look under the grouping Widgets.

    Hope this is of use,
    Neil James
