how to add restore points similar to wp-engine

Hi!

I like that wp-engine has restore points, although I have yet to use it. Backups are great, but if you break something with an update, are they really that easy to restore? I would like to offer something like wp-engine has with the restore points that can be easily rolled back. Has anyone been using something that similar to this? I would appreciate your feedback!!
