How to add product short description back?

You can locate the short product description under Product > Edit Product. You can add it manually to all of your products.

In case this is empty you can add a general short description for your products using code.

It’s in my native language, but I think the problem is theme’s woocommerce.php file. It says that it overrides archive-product.php

I would suggest you to conduct a conflict test to check whether the issue is being caused by the custom theme or one of the plugins you have on your site because it’s not the usual behavior of WooCommerce. You can find the steps to carry out the test here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

You can test this out on a staging site using a plugin like WP Staging.

If it turns out to be due to the theme, please get in touch with your developer in this regard.

I will definitely perform the testing. However, I found the code in woocommerce.php that was meant for the removal of short description. However, after I deleted the code, it still hasn’t changed anything.

Have you cleared your browser cache? You could also try switching the theme to see if that helps.

If the issue persists, you may want to have someone take a closer look at your site including the code and files to find out what’s causing the hidden short description.
