• Hello all,

Does anybody have any idea how to add a first image from the blog post (or a dedicated thumbnail) into a custom RSS feed ?

    Thanks,

    Aleks

  • I’M facing the same issue. I’ve seen many posts asking this question, but few answers were posted and most of them were not useful.

    Anyone?

There is a mysterious function called rss_enclosure() that has little documentation.

It looks to me (although I’ve not tried it) that if you add a custom field to your post with the key ‘enclosure’ and the value of the item you want to link to, it’ll add it as an enclosure to your feed.

If you’re then using WordPress to fetch your feed and display it on your blog, and want to access the enclosures in the feed, you’ll need to use the MagpieRSS Hotfix for Enclosure Support plugin.

    HTH.
