How to add post excerpt in homepage

  • Hello wordpress, iam using ‘publisho’ theme for my site. On theme customizer setting, Theirs a button of:
    ”Show Excerpts on Home Page, remove the check to show full posts on home page.” I did mark and unmark the box. But in the homepage od my site still showing full post.
    Please help me on this. How can i show only excerps or first 45 word of post.
