How to add placeholder on textarea?

How can i add placeholder on textarea? there isnt away too in the admin only textfield has placeholder. please kindly tell me how i can do that. i tried this but didnt work.

content:”0/90 words”;
}

the above code didnt work any suggestion would be great. Thank you
