It’s under the Attributes module–click on the Attributes title to expand the module.

I’m having the same problem. I’ve made a page template, but it’s not showing up under attributes.

Has this feature made it into 2.7b3?

Michael: I do have the comments with the template tags on my page-templates I’ve been using them since a long time, I have several of them. Only since the new beta version of 2.7 suddenly this option disapeared … well… let me dive in to the WordPress php code to find out for myself where the bug is OR if I am doing something wrong…

Using WordPress 2.7-beta3-9858 and the WordPress Default theme I see two choices (beside the Default Template) for the Page Template, Archives and Links.

This is strange, i went to the Appearance panel and noticed no theme being selected (?) I then selected my theme and it switched to default, i then did another click on my theme and it was selected.

After that the option in the page menu was shown…

    So without any code changes.

Ah well… thank you, I can’t really describe what exactly happened but it has something todo with the default theme not being selected (blank).

Similar here, Except the theme was selected.

By selecting a different theme, and then selecting the Desired theme the Template options were again available.

I hope this helps others, because this was really worrying me.

    Cheers guys.

    Thanks infactdesign, that worked great.

I had the same problem with a twist. I have the same theme on two different sites; one worked fine but the second one didn’t show the templates option. Given taht both sites are using the exact same theme, I couldn’t figure where I was wrong.

    Anyway, thanks again.

    i’m an idiot. lol
i couldn’t find the page template, and i was wondering what happened to it. it turned out htat you would have to go back to your appearances menu and select the theme….

anyways, its done! its all fixed yay!

I doubt you’re an idiot. ?? More likely have what I suffer from: “Transient IQ Failure” induced by lethal caffeine overdose. LOL

Took me a while to figure it out, too. Here is how it worked for me:

    • Upload your Template Page into your own Theme
    • Change your Theme to the default theme, then change it back to your theme (like reloading your theme)
    • Go to Ad New Page, the template drop down box should appear now
