How to add oriya language

Hi!

You can add whatever language you want by filling all the fields in Settings->Languages then pressing “Add new language”.

Don’t use the select dropdown. Fill all the fields manually yourself.

What is not changing?

If you fill all the fields “Full name”, “Locale,” “Language code” and then click on “Add new language”, it will create a language with the parameter you’ve chosen.

thanks for making a nice plug in.

could you please help me how to add new language which is not in the list. i added new language called oriya without selecting the dropdown, which is working fine, but however i am unble to type in oriya in my posts. i have a feeling that the language input file is not there.

how can i do this?

Do you mean that you computer doesn’t allow you to type these specific characters?

.mo file for oriya language is not there.

for English it is working fine.

It’s not a Polylang issue, but rather a problem of how your computer, your keyboard support the Oriya language.

i will be grateful if you can help how to add a language if the .mo file is not there.

is there any option to use the .eot fonts?

You can use the Loco translate plugin to create the .mo file.
