How to add new products more easy with fewer step

    Hi

    My website is a marketplace, a lot of new vendors said its take too many times to add new simple product and variation product, like need add manually all sku for each color and size, add price manually for each color and size, take time to add new product’s image too,

    Other website can just click the image then drop the images directly. And create automatic the sku for all variation item like color and size, don’t need to add manually each different sku one by one. And add automatic the same price for all variations too, if the price is different for one color, then the vendor can just change manually.

    Imagine if the product have 5 color and 3 size, the variation are 15 total, if need add all sku and price one by one, then need add 15 different sku + 15 price=30 times.

    Most of my vendor are just added few items, then stop to add new products, if no new products, then no orders, this could be very important to the marketplace to get more sales and more vendors.

    Please show me how to make it more simple to add new items and try to find some best solution for me.

    I assume you’re using a marketplace plugin to extend WooCommerce. Optimizing the features of that plugin is beyond our support scope.

    Kindly reach out to the marketplace plugin developer on addressing this.

    This is one the major issue that I’ve come across on various projects, especially marketplaces. To be honest, regardless of the marketplace plugin you use, the problem is the same. it’s way too complex job for vendor to do.

    The way i’ve overcome this issue by creating a barebones Excel template for the vendor to fill-in. So that you can upload from admin end. I understand that, this might not work for each and every scenario per say. but that’s the only option left.

    The marketplace use the same template of WooCommerce, and the same procedure to add the new simple and variation product.

    So it’s the WooCommerce is too complete to add new product.

    Does have any solution to make more easily?

    Hello @franckw,

    The marketplace use the same template of WooCommerce, and the same procedure to add the new simple and variation product.

    As @nazreenexe mentioned, WooCommerce does include a tool to upload a full set of products at once with a CSV file. You can see how it works and find a sample file here: https://woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/

    But, your vendor’s experience is dependent on the marketplace plugin you’re using. Your best bet would be to reach out to that plugin’s support team and ask how vendors can mass upload products.

    1. We keep attributes as a separate that will be created from the admin end. The rest can be directly imported via Woo importer with of course correct column headings.

    I agree with what you said above! The way new products added in Woo itself is a complicated process. it must gets simplified due course.
