How to “add media” while in HTML mode – new update

  • Haven’t had to edit a site yet with new WP update … things have changed. I am having trouble figuring out this very simple task.

    Editing in html mode, you used to simply click “add media” which was available above the content box … now there is nothing. I tried to add block, but that just puts it at the bottom or top of the content.

    I know this is probably simple, but it is very frustrating to have to go to the support forums to figure this out.

    I see that I can revert to “edit visually” and then the toolbar is available and I can insert it there. Then revert back to html view to continue. Why did the toolbar go away for those basic things when editing in html?
