I love the Tablepress plugin. However, I’m at a loss at how to import a spreadsheet that has italicized content in it. We’ve uploaded a spreadsheet and it’s perfect with the exception that the imported table is not featuring the italics that we had inserted into the original spreadsheet for many of the names listed.

What is the easiest way to retain italics in a spreadsheet when importing it using Tablepress?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m afraid that importing any styling or formatting is not directly possible. TablePress can only import the content of spreadsheets.
(The only exception would be if the styling was transformed to HTML code already.)

To add styling, you would need to add it again e.g. using HTML code via the “Advanced Editor” button or CSS code.

Question. When you say adding HTML code to the advanced editor, how do I referece the spreadsheet that I want to add italics to? Do I insert the short code for the calendar?

    Hi,

the “Advanced Editor” is something that you open inside TablePress, i.e. on the table’s “Edit” screen, for each table cell. Thus, the “Advanced Editor” window that I mean here is showing only the contents of one cell at a time, and you can then modify that cell’s content.
