how to add image tag?

    First of all, thanks to devellopers who work so hard to publish us the WP for free.

    My question is about how-to
    how to put the img tag into the php content as in this exemple, wher i want to change the text with image :

    <?php the_content('Read the rest of this entry &raquo;'); ?>

    if poosible is her any solution to include a animated .gif image.
