How to add horizontal space between widgets in one footer area?

  • Hi there,

    The theme I’m using doesn’t have any default sidebars or widget areas so I’m customizing it to have at least a 2-column footer widget.

    It’s all going well so far, but only if I use one widget each in footer 1 and another widget for the footer 2 widget area. If I try to add one more widget to Footer 1, there is no horizontal space in between and I don’t know how to add space.

    You can check it out on my site, biblionights.com. In footer 1, I tried to add a custom html widget where I pasted the code to a mailchimp subscribe form and a text widget. As you can see, there is no space in between them horizontally speaking. Same thing with the footer 2 widget area.
