  • Hi @liamz,

    Thank you for reaching out.

It is expected that the code included in that support topic would not work on the Yoast breadcrumbs. However, can you give us a bit more information on why you would like to make the last item and H1 tag?

We ask because each page should only have one H1, the page title. It’s important to have a good heading structure on the page. If you are just looking to style the last item, you can do so with CSS code. The last item has the CSS class breadcrumb_last.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello,

I am using the Woodmart theme. The theme has an option to hide the page title of a category or to show it in different styles. The reason I chose to hide it is that it pushes the content (the products) a lot, especially on smaller screens, because I also have filters there. However, when I hide it I lose the H1 tag. The user experience is better without the page title but I would like to have H1 tag and in this case it would be perfect to wrap the last breadcrumb, BUT, if possible, only on category pages because when I enter in specific product page it has the H1 tag already.

    For example here: https://bgm.bg/%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B4%D1%83%D0%BA%D1%82-%D0%BA%D0%B0%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%B3%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%B8%D1%8F/%D0%BF%D1%80%D1%8F%D1%81%D0%BD%D0%BE-%D0%BC%D0%BB%D1%8F%D0%BA%D0%BE/

@liamz Thanks for your reply and for the explanation.

Unfortunately we can’t offer support on custom code. Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. Maybe someone watching these forums can assist you further, but if your topic is inactive for 7 days, we’ll mark it as resolved to keep the overview.

    Thank you for your understanding.
