In the previous version of the contact form, I was able to track conversions in google adwords. This was achieved by adding (snippet tracking code provided by google) in the Message tab, just after where it says, Sent Successfully!

After upgrading to the new form, after several days I noticed it was no longer displaying conversion results because I upgraded the contact form which no longer accepts this code. If you add it now, it will display in RED text that it is no longer able to accept it in this format and explains how to get around it but I don’t understand as I don’t have the technical proficiency.

I see some examples with how to add Google Analytics and something about adding this – on_sent_ok: “alert(‘sent ok’);” on the additional settings but not sure where to add the conversion code.

Would appreciate the communities help. Thanks so much

  • Thanks, Thales. I try to change my settings accordingly and test it to see if it brings any improvements.
At this very moment even Google Analytics’ results are very unreliable, it records form completions occasionally, only a few but not all of them, which is very strange.

I am having the same issue as jblancarte. I have no confirmation after “submit”… regarless of which code snippet used. How do we resolve this?

Hi lambentdawn, Unfortunately I cannot help you, as I could not find a solutions myself to fix the issue. I tried to solve it in every possible way, spent literally monhts with testing but the contact form remained completely unreliable. I even asked the question on Adwords Forum to see if anyone has experience with conversion tracking in WP. The author of the plugin admitted in one of the Support Threads that he does not know Adwords at all only Analytics so I guess that is the reason why this issue is not sorted yet. I switched to an other Contact Form Plugin and my Adwords conversion tracking works from the very first day without any problem at all.

Thank you for all the info

Would you mind letting me know which contact form plugin worked well?

I have been using Ninja Forms for two month now, and it did not let me down so far.

I added that code into the Additional Settings and what I noticed is when I fill the form out on the front end the thank you page doesn’t appear letting the user know the message went through only when I delete the code is when the thank you page works. any idea what to do?
