How to add Go back to parent category button on single product page

  • Hello,
    I am trying to add a button to my woocommerce single product page that links to the parent category of the product…

    For example lets suppose that I have this categories:

    ANIMALS
    — Cats
    — Cats Food Products
    —-Product 1
    — Dogs
    — Dogs Food Products
    —–Product 2

    How can I add a button that links to the parent category Cats when I am browsing the product 1???

  • What theme are you using? If you have breadcrumbs enabled in your theme, then that would be the best navigation for your users to go back to your parent category.

    Thnx for your reply.

    Yes I have breadcrumbs enabled but I want to place a button that redirects to the parent category too.
    The theme that I am using is very simple and minimalist and I am pretty sure that doesn’t make conflicts with woocommerce plugin, so even if I add this button will not do any conflict too…

    Is there any way that I can do this???

    I have found somewhere else a simple code that was getting the parent category ID and echoing it but I couldn’t managed to make it work as a hyperlink…
