Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I haven’t been able to make sense of the previous posts on the subject.

How can I add expires headers for static componenets? In the browser cache settings I have enabled all the expires headers options to 31536000 seconds

I get the following result from yslow:

There are 7 static components without a far-future expiration date.

And here’s a friendly bump. Can anyone help me with this issue? I’m hoping to increase my page load speed and this seems to by the biggest issue currently.

The links listed in this thread are all from other domains (ad networks, google fonts, etc.), not from the domains owned by the comment authors… you can’t control the cache settings for content coming from other sites. The solution is to just ignore these items in YSlow.
