How to add entry-meta items

    I’ve created a child theme and I’m looking for the location to add items to the entry-meta area of the posts. Next to the date, I would like to diplay the author and a custom taxonomy- such as “[date] by [author] in [theme]”. The functions.php template isn’t providing me with any clues.
