How to add date to permalink / slug?

Hello,

I’m hoping for some help to learn how to add the current year to the event permalink. I’ve combed through the docs and video tutorials and see how to change the main base slug in WordPress permalink settings, but not sure how to add to it. I’m not a coder so I haven’t been able to figure out how to do it with the php code examples you have here: https://wp-eventmanager.com/knowledge-base/changing-event-slug-permalink/

I’d like the permalink to include /event/%year%/%postname%/

If anyone is able to help, I’d really appreciate it!
