    HI

I have a client Woocommerce site which I am currently designing which is not the standard format.

We are not accepting payment through Woocommerce, but using the Woocommerce as an Enquiry Cart.

We could NOT use the Woocommerce Enquiry Catalog or ones similar, as we have additional Product Add Ons that couldn’t be added to the Enquiry Catalog form so that wouldn’t work.

So I’ve done a workaround still using Woocommerce, as we still want a total and products added to a cart, and then the Client will process the payment separately manually. We can still invoice the Customer through Woocommerce which still works as I like.

My main question is that we need to ADJUST the CHECKOUT PAGE slightly than the standard …

    * We DON’T want Customer Address in here like normal Woocommerce Checkout page (as we ONLY need a Delivery Address) for the goods. So I either need to be able to REMOVE it entirely OR hide it, OR have that field as a non-requirement if people don’t want to put their home address and JUST the Delivery address
    * We need a Calendar Option drop down calendar for the Customer to be able to choose the “DELIVERY DATE”
    * I need another drop down field available on Checkout page called “Preferred Delivery Time” which will have 3 options in the drop down (10am, 1pm or 3pm)
    * Will someone be home for delivery ? Dropdown YES or NO

I have been googling to try and find a plugin that allows ADDITIONAL fields in CHECKOUT with the Date Picker and ability to be able to BLOCK out dates also and add additional fields relating to the Order to be delivered and certain questions.

Currently I have the Date Picker & Time Required on each Product as Add Ons alongside other add ons … but if a Customer orders 3 different products, then they have to enter the Date for Delivery on each Product they ADD to the Cart, which then is bit pointless and wasting Customer’s time as they should ONLY need to ENTER the Date for DELIVERY once, Time for Delivery once etc. Best to have that part at the CHECKOUT area …

ALSO can we somehow bypass the Cart page, and go straight to CHECKOUT when Customer places an order ? I know there is a setting in Woocommerce settings, that redirects straight to Checkout when ‘Add to Cart” is chosen, but if client wants to buy 3 different products, we want them to finish then straight to Checkout.

I’m trying to streamline the process a little bit.

If someone could offer some advice would be fantastic.

    Thanks in advance

    Regards
    Kristin

  • Hi @kristinubute

    Thanks for reaching out!

While searching our marketplace, I found the premium plugin, Checkout Field Editor seems fit to your requirement here.

The Checkout Field Editor provides you with an interface to add, edit, and remove fields shown on your WooCommerce checkout page.?Fields can be added and removed from the billing and shipping sections, as well as inserted after these sections next to the standard ‘order notes’.

If you want to try our products, please note we have a 30-day refund policy.

If the product doesn’t work the way you need it or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to offer a full refund. You can read more about our refund policy on our website here.

What you want to achieve is a bit complex and would require customization to do it. Since custom coding is outside our scope of support, I am leaving this thread open for a bit to see if anyone can chime in to help you out.

For questions related to development and custom coding, your best bet is to ask on any of these channels for support. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, too.

    HI

Thanks for that. I will look into this plugin.
Is this one of your plugins that you support ?
Do you know whether the additional fields that are created in the “CHECKOUT” with this plugin, are added to the INVOICE that is generated for the Customer ?

I am using WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips by “WP Overnight” and wondering whether the additional fields from the Checkout plugin, will be added to this invoice ?

    Thanks
    Kristin

    Hi there @kristinubute ??

Is this one of your plugins that you support ?

    Yes, that is correct.

Do you know whether the additional fields that are created in the “CHECKOUT” with this plugin, are added to the INVOICE that is generated for the Customer ?

Per the documentation, the custom fields can be added in the WooCommerce emails.

For adding them to invoices, I suggest consulting with the support channel of the WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips by “WP Overnight” plugin.

Otherwise, you could try the Checkout Field Editor extension and see if it fits your needs; we are happy to offer a full refund with our 30-day money-back guarantee if you are unhappy with the outcome. [Check our Refund Policy here](https://woocommerce.com/refund-policy/).

Alternatively, feel free to check out PDF Invoices, by Andrew Benbow.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know. We’re happy to help.
