• I find Contact form 7 very good and useful. For days, I was trying to look for a plugin just like this one. After reading the documentation and the FAQ, I am still stuck on something and havent found the answer i am looking for. I want to be able to have what is being sent (ex:doc, pic) to appear on my posts, so i can later show it on my pages. This plugin sends what it is suppose to send, which is great, but i want it on my page too. OTherwise, it just feels like a regular email. Flamingo is useful in storing the emails, but it just displays them as a history. DId i miss something in the documentation about this? Can you please direct me to another plugin where i can show what is being sent to my page as posts? Thank you in advance.

The “Postie” plugin is great for converting emails to posts. I’ve used it on several sites. You set up a special email address that Postie allows to post, then set that email address on your CF7 form.

Be aware that allowing that might get you some spam, even with reCaptchas. So you might want to set new posts to require approval.

(I am not CF7 support, nor do I have any relationship with CF7 or Postie other than a user.)

Thank you. i will look into this plugin, but it looks like i will lose the ability to notify other users with Postie. User Submitted Post is another good one that allows users to submit posts on the front end, but it lacks notification to other users. On the other hand, CF7 sends notifications but lacks posting. I’ll see what i can do.

While Postie doesn’t directly do notification, it is compatible with other plugins that do the notifications.

I use Postie for email-submitted posts. And Email Subscribers to notify subscribers via email when a new post is published.

On one site I manage, a cF7 form is used for submissions. It sends to a Postie’d email address, which converts email from CF7 form to a post. That post is placed in a Pending state, so it can be manually removed. (Cf7 also sends a notification to the post-submittal-admin, so they can review and publish.) When the post is published, Email Subscribers sends out emails to everyone that has signed up about the new post.
