How to add bigger space between line breaks?

  • I am using the visual editor and I hit return several times to make a big space between paragraphs, but when I save the post, it shows up on my home page and category pages with only the regular line break. Not the big space that was showing in the visual editor. And then also when I save, the big space is gone in the visual editor. Any ideas on this??

  • don’t know what your theme is, but edit your theme’s style.css and add either .content p or .entries p this declaration
    e.g.

    .content p {
      margin-bottom: 1em;
}

    well my theme is based on OpenBook. You can see the creator’s site at lyxia.org

    My site is kinda screwed up though. On my Homepage and category pages, there is only 1 single line break space and also not able to indent. But on my single post, direct link page, there is like double spaces between each line break?

    Usually magazine style home page excerpts strip tags from posts including spaces between paragraphs. If you are not satisfied with the layout then I suggest you look over other free magazine themes that will.

    I found the indent settings I need and also was able to come up with an acceptable solution regarding the line breaks. Thanks.
