Hi! I am stuck. I’ve looked everywhere to find how to insert a “subscribe” link for my blog, but I haven’t come up with a solution. I went through my theme and block options, but I don’t see that option anywhere. I’m using the Sonoran theme. Could anyone let me know how I could add this feature on my website? –blocks? plug ins? What might work? Thanks so much!

Note: I’m just trying to develop my first website so there are a lot of placeholders, etc. I’m not done working on it. Only about a quarter of the way there!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hello @mcnamal , I would be glad to assist you.

Follow these steps to add a subscribe button to a post or page. Please update us with the results.

    1. Click the + Block Inserter icon.
    2. Search for “subscribe”.
    3. Click Subscribe to add the block to the post or page.
    4. You can also type /subscribe on a new line and press Enter to quickly add a new Subscribe block.
    5. From your WordPress dashboard, go to Jetpack > Settings > Discussion > Subscriptions.
    6. If you’re self-hosted, you may not have access to this option unless you’re using Jetpack.
    7. Once you click on the Subscribe block, you’ll see it display in your blog post or page content.

Thank you!!! I’m setting up a self-hosted site. The answer was Jetpack. I activated and connected Jetpack and that worked! I now have a subscribe block that I can insert.

I’m still not sure that I understand what Jetpack is, so I need to do some reading. ??
