How to add a space between my main content area and sidebar?

  • How exactly would I go about adding a small space say 5px between the sidebar and main content area? I’ve tried to figure it out using firebug with no luck and have read many articles still with no luck, I have a child theme already created but I’m not sure what to do next.

    I think I’ve read every thread online regarding this subject without no luck what so ever…..

    Hopefully we can resolve this issue on this thread because there’s tons of information about this subject floating around yet no solutions. If someone could just point me in the right direction or provide a link so I can read even more on this subject I would really appreciate it.
