How to add a slider!

This is one of the most irritating and annoying themes. It’s very customizable but sometimes I just have enough it. Documentation sucks!
I need to create slider. There is an article to do it:

However it’s SO BADLY WRITTEN. Order doesn’t match, name of the paragraph doesn’t match, things described in the article doesn’t exist – it’s just confusing and useless.
Let’s brake it down:
0 . Removing the demo slider – inaccurate name
Describes how to choose a ready slider – guess what? I don’t have it and have no idea how to do it, so I can only skip that point
1. Open the media library
Ok, done.
2. Open a media and set the slide’s options
– From the Media Library, click on an image that you want to add to your slider. DONE
– Click on the “Edit more details” link on the right of the screen (not the Edit button) – NO SUCH BUTTON
– Scroll down and find the Slider Options box (see the screenshot below) – NO SLIDER OPTIONS ANYWHERE! Clearly I’m not on the right page, but how do I land there, no idea.
Rest of the article is useless at this point.
I’m stuck. Please, help me, I have no idea what to do next.

I finally figured it, but mostly by accident. I have never saw such convoluted way to add sliders thou… It’s insane!
Somehow on my main page there is an clickable area, that opened a page edition view and there was an option to turn on the slider. Then this option “add to slider” appears on medium sites. Then an option to create new slider shows finally at the very bottom of a picture page which is added to slider… Then After adding all mediums, I have to set it from theme customization page. So all in all, to set it up I had to visit 3 distinct places in wordpress in certain order… Who invents those things???
