How to add a sentence in my Header

    Hi
    Request 1.

    I want to add a sentence in the middle of the top header.
    I want this link only to display in Desktop, because this site is responsive and the header sentence will not fit in mobile phone.
    Please help with simple step as I have very little knowledge of WordPress and css.

    Request 2.
    I have a jQuery code to display and insert document in my WordPress website.
    I wanted to see this only in the Homepage of my site in Desktop and Mobile version.
    Please help where do I insert so that I can see on my Website.

    I don’t believe either of your requests are covered by simple steps.

    The first one would probably need some customisation of a template file so we’re probably looking at a child theme and then further customisation with a function to add text via admin. Alternatively, manually adding in the template file, probably the header.php file but these are semi-complex tasks
